The Forgotten Beam Bowl's Cousin
Wood: Western Cedar
Finish: Walnut oil
Dimensions: 2 1/4 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches across
For indoor use only
I call this bowl 'Forgotten' because it sat in my grandfather's garage and then my dad's garage for decades. Back in the 1980's my grandgather traveled to CA to build my uncle's house. Well, grandpa brought back a piece of a large left-over cedar beam. He didn't know what to do with it so it wasn't used until I got my calloused hands on it.
The bowl isn't as large as it's cousin, but it could serve as a focal piece on a smaller table and would pair well with taller items such as a vase or urn. It is large enough to hold items such as shells and is a perfect shape for keys and sunglasses. Because of it's middle of the road shade of brown it will pop when placed against either light or dark backgrounds.
